20 drivers caught speeding in 30 minutes in Wilton

Wiltshire Police caught 20 drivers speeding on the Avenue in Wilton in just half an hour, with the highest recorded speed above 20mph over the speed limit.

On 19th May 2025, the Speed Enforcement Team went to The Avenue in Wilton, where 20 vehicles were recorded exceeding the clearly marked 30mph speed limit in just half an hour.

The fastest speed recorded? 56mph.

Here’s what happens next:
- 16 drivers will be offered a Speed Awareness Course
- 2 drivers will receive a Fixed Penalty Notice and 3 points
- 2 drivers will face court proceedings
