From the playful 'O Mistress Mine' by Thomas Morley and Percy Grainger, to the poignant 'Song for Athene' by John Tavener, the programme explores love, loss, wit and wonder through music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, William Walton, Amy Beach, Owain Park, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, Humphrey Clucas, Herbert Murrill and others. Expect elegance, intensity and moments of haunting beauty as Shakespeare’s language meets the expressive power of choral harmony in this celebration of poetry and music intertwined.
