Safer and Supportive Salisbury are hosting a conference to bring support, advice and information on local services together under one roof. A buffet lunch will be served from 12.30pm, with the conference beginning at 1.30pm and running until 4.30pm.
The keynote speaker will be Sir Al Aynsley-Green, who will speak on the importance of compassionate care. Representatives from Alzheimer’s Disease International will share the latest research developments in treatment and prevention, offering insight into global progress in dementia care.
The conference will also feature guest speakers with lived experience of dementia, providing personal perspectives on navigating diagnosis, care and community support. Local dementia support organisations will be available throughout the afternoon to offer one-to-one information and guidance.
To ensure the event is inclusive and accessible, a quiet room with a tailored programme of activities will be available for people living with dementia during the conference.
The event is free to attend; however, places are limited and must be booked in advance to ensure appropriate support and catering arrangements.
